EMA20 crossing EMA50. Slower signal, but EMA crosses on gold have historically preceded strong directional moves.
Price hitting the upper or lower Bollinger Band. Works especially well on EUR/USD during range-bound periods between macro events.
Faster than RSI. Both %K and %D must confirm — cuts noise significantly on volatile commodity markets.
Volume 2× the 20-day average with a 1%+ move. Oil in particular shows high-conviction moves when volume confirms direction.
